Garden District Gate
A few blocs away from Jackson Square and the downtown life of the city are oak tree lined streets flanked by opulent homes known for their incredible iron work and custom architecture. The Garden District was once a number of plantations which where sold off in parcels to the wealthy who did not want to live in the French Quarter with the Creoles. This area, developed between 1832-1900, is considered one of the best-preserved collections of historic mansions in the South.
STRETCHED CANVAS GICLEE SIZES:

ABOUT the FINE ART GICLEE: Produced from my original artwork and are printed on high-quality archival canvas using archival inks, stretched over a .75” wood frame with the print image wrapping around edge of canvas and are ready to hang using the mounted picture wire. I paint in an impasto style using oil paint with palette/painting knives. Painting with palette knives allow a freedom I never enjoyed with brushes. I'm drawn to New Orleans cityscapes and Louisiana landscapes. I'm inspired by the vibrant vivid colors and heavy textures achieved with this three dimensional painting style. I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surrounding.
