ABOUT THE ART - Don’t it make my brown eyes blue? When it comes to attracting another pelican it does!!!! During brown pelican’s courtship and mating season the brown eyes of an adult male and female undergo an incredible color change. Their eyes change from brown, to yellowish white and eventually light blue. Color changes are not just limited to their eyes. Their bills and throat pouches brighten filling with saturated color while yellow feathers take over their white heads. Gotta love what we do for love!
