Draped with the weight of our entire nation on his shoulders, the eagle struggles to outstretch his wings and soar to new heights of freedom.
Though the burden is tremendous, it cannot crush the spirit of resilience and strength that defines him. He still stands as a symbol of the fortitude and freedom that unites all Americans, embodying the courage of a formidable nation that rises to defend what is right. This burden cannot be allowed to overtake us, we must instead face it head-on and continue to bear it with unwavering resolve. By carrying this weight, we affirm our commitment to the ideals that make us who we are, undaunted and ever striving for the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

I paint in an impasto style using oil paint with palette/painting knives. Painting with palette knives allow a freedom I never enjoyed with brushes. I'm drawn to New Orleans cityscapes and Louisiana landscapes. I'm inspired by the vibrant vivid colors and heavy textures achieved with this three dimensional painting style. I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surrounding.
